GM has updated their Customer Specific Requirements for IATF 16949 with effective date of 31 January 2025.
The specific updates include:
- Updated section 8.5.1.1 to align the current for control plan requirements with the current AIAG Control Plan manual.
- Updated section 8.6.2 to require a layout inspection of all dimensional requirements on at least 5 parts.
- Added in section 8.6.3 GM Appearance Approval Report.
- Added in section 9.2.2.2 requirements for the GM QMS System Gap Assessment to be uploaded into the SCMS System.
- Added in section 9.2.2.3 that the organization shall upload their annual CQI assessment(s) into the SCMS System for CQI 35 (Wire Harness) and CQI-34 (Software Assurance Approval).
